1. Full voice control of my devices.
    2. To be able to interrupt the ‘assistant’.
    3. To perform tasks like “read my email”, “archive this email”, “respond to this email”, “delete this email.

Siri in its current form is useless and very frustrating to interact with and extremely limited. If I’m driving in the car I could get so much more accomplished with full voice control.

  • Google Notebook LM

This Google app is blowing my mind. I created multiple notebooks and its potential is amazing. You create a notebook and add PDF’s, web links, copied text, etc. Then you can ‘chat’ with the notebook. Ask it questions. The coolest feature is the Audio Overview in the Notebook Guide. It generates an extremely high quality audio conversation between 2 speakers about the information in the notebook. I tried it out with some legal filing and newspaper articles. The one error / hallucination that I noticed was that one of the newspaper articles I included had an unrelated article in the PDF that I didn’t crop out. The audio summary started talking about the unrelated article in part of the ‘podcast’. I then deleted that article from the list of sources and regenerated the audio summary. New sources aren’t automatically incorporated into the audio summary. You need to regenerate the summary. You can download the audio summaries as .wav files. This technology makes it very easy to learn complicated subjects ad you listen to the 2 speakers interact. This technology will only get better and better. What a time to be alive!

  • Friends started planning a camping trip and the Telegram posts went on for a few weeks. I’m bringing this. I’m bringing that. I’ll do this meal. I’ll bring my Blackstone griddle. I’ll bring a generator and a big tent. It went on forever. I took screen shots of all the posts. Then I took a screen shot of all the posts in my iPhone photo album as 1 single photo. I uploaded this to Claude and Chat GPT to experiment. I said “Organize this information”. The results were amazing. The details of the trip where group by who was bringing what exactly. The details of who was arriving when were all organized. I was astounded. Very cool.

  • I uploaded PDF’s of a news article and a legal filing for a lawsuit I was following in separate chats and asked Claude to summarize and simplify. Amazing!

  • I’ve been using Gemini to summarize YouTube videos. To see if they are worth watching before investing time in them. Also to know what I’m about to watch before I watch. It’s been extremely helpful.

  • We emailed an order for steel cut to various sizes to our supplier. When it was ready to be picked up we were trying to decide what truck or trailer to send for the order. I copied and pasted the emailed order into ChatGPT and Claude and they both responded that the steel weighed close to 4,000lbs. This was super helpful! I love having amazing virtual assistants like this for real world problems.

  • I submitted a help request to GeoTab asking how to change something technical with a maintenance alert reminder. They responded by sending me a 10 page user manual that covered that section of the website. I uploaded the PDF and my exact original question to ChatGPT and Claude and they both responded immediately with a very helpful answer that solved my problem. Why isn’t customer support doing the same thing?
